The Music Cove Blog

The Complete Music Experience

Here at the "Cove", our mission is to provide the musician with the total music experience. We have musician and band bios on established rock stars, and up and coming bands, we have a new song on display every week, we have a new musical term on display every day, and we have product and song reviews. The newcomers to the Music Cove are the blog, my radio show, and the Vlog (videolog, under construction).

New Happenings

by Luqmann

Hey everybody, it's been a while since I posted anything, but I'm back. I've been through my birthday season, and with the money, I bought a new Raven 20 watt. I have also been doing a lot or research about amps (solid state, tubes), dummy loads, and this new recording method. In other news, my cd burner has been fixed, so to all my listeners who have been thinking of me, thanks!

The Divines (my band)

7/29/09 at 3:25 p.m.

by Luqmann

The Divines is birthed partly out of the passing of Michael Jackson. After he passed away, me, my brother (Rahmaan) and my sister (Ankobia) were inspired to be famous, and be like Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5. So, we started a band.

The first song we worked on was "I want you back" from Michael Jackson. As of now, our band is doing well, and me and my brother are very commited.

The guitar is a musical instrument with ancient roots that is used in a wide variety of musical styles. It typically has six strings, but four, seven, eight, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen and eighteen string guitars also exist. The size and shape of the neck and the base of the guitar also vary to produce variety of sounds (music).

Who's your favorite musician?

7/28/09 at 5:24 p.m.

by Luqmann

What is it about music that captures the essence of us all? And what is about musician's that is so interesting? I don't know, but I sure enjoy Jimi Hendrix's music!

In my opinion Jimi Hendrix is the best guitarist to ever live, or will ever live. He revolutionized the industry in 3 -4 short years, and songs like Hey Joe, and Machine Gun epitomize his skill, and essence.

Let's get ready to... Play Music?

7/27/09 at 5:40 p.m.

by Luqmann

Ok everyone, this is my first entry, so I have to figure out how this whole blogging thing goes.

I have had this site for a while, but I hadn't updated it in a while. Yesterday my mom came with a blogging pamphlet. I was interested, so I reformatted my site with a blog, vlog, and radio show.

It isn't secret I love music, so that's what I'll blog about. Stay tuned for more.
